Mary is a good Christian girl who goes to a Christian high school and is dating Dean, a good Christian boy. Her life is perfect, or at least it was, until her boyfriend admitted he might be gay. Mary stops at nothing to try to turn him straight and even offers up her own virginity to save him. But she is too late, Dean is captured and sent to a "degayification" center; and Mary is left alone, and pregnant. During this time of insanity in Mary's life, she turns to the apparent outcasts of the school for support and is made into a social misfit by her ex-best-friend, and devout Christian, Hilary.
